Coverage
In OJ OnlinePlus consolidated texts of legislation and treaties
are available in all languages in pdf format. Consolidation entails the integration
of basic instruments of Community legislation, their amendments and corrections
in single, non-official documents. These documents aim to provide more transparency
and easier access to EU law. Several legal texts initially and officially
published in different issues of the Official Journal are combined as a 'consolidated
family' in one easy to read document.
New consolidated texts and updates of existing consolidated texts are made
available regularly. As Community legislation is evolving, due to frequent
publications of new, amending, legal acts, the collection of consolidated
legislation is not complete and it cannot be guaranteed that a text represents
the most up-to-date state of the legislation in force.
Note: Unlike codification (which is the adoption of a new legal instrument
that incorporates and repeals the basic act and its subsequent modifications)
consolidated texts have no legal value. For legal purposes please refer
to the texts published in the Official Journal. Text provided is intended
for use as a documentation tool and we cannot assume any liability for its
content. We recommend that modifications listed in the consolidated text be
cross-referenced with those available in the analytical overview.
