OJ OnlinePlus provides full coverage of documents in the various stages
of the decision making process, including documents in which the institutions
express an opinion on a question of general Community interest. It also contains
daily updates from PreLex and the Legislative Observatory plus documents of
public interest. The Preparatory acts section of the OJ OnlinePlus database
includes:
- Commission proposals (available since 1984) with explanatory memorandum
fully cross-referenced and interlinked plus documents of public interest (e.g.
white and green papers) - both in pdf format updated every day
- PreLex which follows all Commission proposals (legislative and budgetary
dossiers, conclusions of international agreements) and communications from
their transmission to the Council or the European Parliament
- The Legislative Observatory from the European European Parliament - covering the
activities of the institutions involved in the legislative procedure and the
decision-making process. This makes it possible to follow and monitor the
Community decision-making process and to evaluate and monitor the workload
of European Parliament and its committees, the Commission's annual working programme
and the proposals of the different Council Presidencies
- A5 reports in pdf format (reports of the European European Parliament adopted in
committee and tables for option in plenary), plus EP minutes
- Opinions of the Economic and Social Committee in full text
- Opinions and resolutions of the Committee of the Regions available in full
text
- Opinions and reports of the Court of Auditors (available since 1977)
- Council common positions (since 1985 and with full text for the positions
published in the C series of the OJ since 1995) and various preparatory documents
specific to the European Coal and Steel Community (Council assents, ECSC Consultative
Committee opinions)
Search tips
- The search form provides specific search fields with useful
examples to easily access this section of the database.
- Advanced search contains an extensive selection of changeable search fields
for expert searching this part of the database.
- OJ OnlinePlus is not case sensitive.
- Windows copy & paste functionality (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V) can be used in
the search form.
- A search term can be any word, phrase or number which may be linked together
by Boolean operators, e.g. transport
and hazardous waste
- You can use wildcards to find variants of words or to substitute a
single letter, e.g. liab* or wom?n
- Dates must be entered in the format yyyy-mm-dd. You can use date
operators in Date / Year search field for date range
searching, e.g. >1999, 1990-04-30~1993-04-30
- Search fields are linked by default by the boolean operator AND. Use
the Advanced search form with its greater functionality for expert searching.
- To clear the search form in order to start a new search click the
button.
- When you have finished using OJ OnlinePlus remember to log off so that
your colleagues can access the database when you have completed your search.
If you do not correctly log off but exit by closing the browser your session
will remain active until the 30-minute automatic log off.
